Custard Cake

A delicious, soft, and spongy baked cake recipe made with custard powder flavor. It is a unique cake recipe. It can be easily served as dessert cake after a meal or perhaps as an evening snack with a cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup curd
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup powder sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup refined flour
  • 3 tablespoon custard powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoon tutti frutti
  • 1/2 teaspoon refine flour

Method:

  1. Preheat oven at 180 C for 10 minutes.
  2. Grease the baking pan with oil and flour it well and tap out the excess flour.
  3. Coat tutti fruitti with flour and leave it aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, sift the flour,custard powder, baking soda, baking powder.
  5. In a large bowl, add the oil and powder sugar and beat till the sugar is well combined.
  6. Add curd and mix till combined.
  7. Add the flour and mix.
  8. Gradually add milk to make a smooth batter.
  9. Add coated tutti frutti and mix well.
  10. garnish with some tutti frutti.
  11. Pour the batter in cake tin.
  12. Smooth the top lightly.
  13. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes till a skewer inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  14. Cool on a wire cake rack for 10 minutes and invert the cake onto the rack to cool completely.
  15. Enjoy with tea or serve it as dessert.
