This custard is a chilled dessert, perfect for summer or any time you crave something refreshing but easy. It doesn’t need any oven, no whipping cream, no gelatin. Just some milk, ripe mangoes, and a few pantry staples. And believe me, it turns out just delicious !

Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp custard powder
- mango chunks
Instructions
- Add 1½ cup of milk and sugar in a medium saucepan on medium heat.
- Let it heat up.
- Meanwhile, add ½ cup of milk and mix in the custard powder. Mix well. Make sure that this mixture isn’t lumpy.
- Once the milk mixture start simmering add in the custard powder mixture.
- Take a whisk and whisk for 2 minutes.
- Turn off the stove.
- Take the saucepan off the stove.
- At this time you can add some mango chunks in your saucepan and give it a quick mix. (optional step)
- Dish it out in a bowl or bowls.
- garnish with mango chunks.
- Cover and let it set in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to overnight.
- Serve it cold when ready to serve it.
