Ghevar recipe | How to make ghewar at home
Ghevar is a traditional Indian sweet. It is most popular in the state of Rajasthan. It is also popular in Northern India, especially in Delhi and surrounding regions. This sweet is interesting because you can’t get it all year round. You only get it during the month of August to celebrate festivals like Teej and Rakhi. Traditional Indian sweet, Ghevar is made with flour and soaked in sugar syrup. The crispy deep-fried disc is soaked in sugar syrup. It is garnished with nuts. Edible silver leaves are added to make a special treat!

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoon ghee
- 2 tablespoon milk
- 1 and 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 7 to 8 strands of saffron
- Chopped almonds and pistachio
- Ghee or oil for deep frying
For Sugar Syrup:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup water
