How To Make Easy Banana Walnut Cake With Overripe Bananas

The Banana Walnut Cake is a super easy recipe that can be made at home within 4 minutes for a delightfully sweet treat. The flavor of the banana is complimented perfectly with the slightly bitter taste of walnuts. It’s a gooey, soft, and crumbly texture that makes for a great pairing with your tea or coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 overripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnut

Method:

  • Cut the banana into small pieces, and put it in a bowl.
  • Add sugar to this and mash it with a fork. Mix until sugar dissolves.
  • Add soft butter and vanilla essence and mix well.
  • Sieve in the dry ingredients, i.e maida, baking powder, cinnamon.
  • Blend the mixture well.
  • Grease a baking pan with a drop of oil and some dry flour.
  • Pour the batter into the pan slowly, and spread it evenly into the pan.
  • Add chopped walnuts on top for garnish.
  • Bake in the microwave for 4 minutes. or
  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees celsius, Bake for 15 -20 minutes at the same temperature.
  • Check after 15 minutes with a skewer to see if the cake has browned.
  • Serve hot and fresh from the oven.
