Vegetable Appam Recipe- How to make Vegetable Appam Recipe

Appam is a Gujarati dish. This is very healthy because its have veggies and not fried.

Ingredients:

1 cup semolina (suji)
1 cup Curd
1 tomato chopped
1 onion chopped
1 capsicum chopped
1 green chili finely chopped
1-inch ginger grated
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp red chili powder
2 tbsp Oil
1/2 mustard seeds

Method:

  • Mix semolina in curd and add chopped tomato, chopped onion, capsicum chopped and green chili and ginger and mix well.
  • Add salt, red chili powder mix well.
  • Add water and make a smooth paste.
  • Preheat appam maker and pour some oil into each mold on the maker and add a pinch of mustard seeds and take mixture in a spoon and fill the molds.
  • After filling all the molds, cover and cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
  • When the appams get golden brown from beneath, flip sides.
  • Cover again and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Cook until appam get golden brown in colour on both sides. 
  • Our vegetable appam is ready to serve.
  • Serve with green chutney or sauce.
