Green Chutney or Coriander mint Chutney recipe- How to make coriander mint chutney

A mint and coriander flavored chutney which is great for a sandwich spreads. Lemon juice enhances the flavors of mint and coriander and prevents discoloration of the greens. Green chutney is probably the most favorite Indian accompaniment.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Mint Leaves
  • 1 cup coriander leaves
  • 1-inch ginger
  • 4-5 green chili
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon Juice – 2 teaspoon

Method:

  • Rinse both the Mint leaves and coriander leaves very well in a strainer.
  • In a Blender grind, all the above ingredients to a smooth paste using 3-4 teaspoon water.
  • Keep the mind coriander chutney in an airtight container in a refrigerator.
  • Adjust salt, green chili and lemon juice as per your taste.
  • You can serve this mint coriander chutney with pakoras, samosas, chaat, chole, potato chips or other snacks.
