Bel Lassi

Bael lassi is a delicious and healthy way to cool down in the summer season. To make this, you need wood apple pulp, curd, sugar or sugar candy, and a little water. Mash the wood apple pulp thoroughly and filter it, then add curd and sugar or sugar candy and beat it well. Add some water as needed, cool and serve. You can also add cardamom powder or roasted cumin seeds to it .   

Material:

  • Wood apple pulp – 1 cup
  • Fresh curd – 1 cup
  • Sugar or Mishri – as per taste
  • Water – as required
  • Optional ingredients: cardamom powder, roasted cumin seeds   

Method:

  1. Extract the pulp of wood apple and filter it.
  2. Beat curd, sugar or sugar candy and water thoroughly.
  3. Add wood apple pulp to it.
  4. Add cardamom powder or roasted cumin seeds (optional).
  5. Cool and serve.   

Suggestion:

  • Use a clean cloth or sieve to strain the wood apple pulp.   
  • You can also add a little saffron to make the lassi more delicious.   
  • If you do not like sweet lassi then you can also add a little salt to it.   
  • Adjust the amount of water to make the Bael Lassi thicker or thinner.   
  • Drinking cooled wood apple lassi provides coolness to the body in summer.
