Sweeten up your summer in minutes with my strawberry ice cream. This homemade strawberry ice cream is so rich and creamy, with an amazing strawberry taste, and so easy to make!

Yup, you do not need to churn or use an ice cream maker to make your own ice cream at home. Just a few ingredients, mix them up, freeze, scoop and slurp! With summer at its peak here we are enjoying our share of frozen treats. And nothing beats strawberries at this moment.

Ingredients:

  • Whipped cream -1 cup
  • Milk – 1 + 1/2 cup
  • Milk powder – 1/4 cup
  • Corn flour – 1/2 tablespoon
  • Condensed milk – 1/4 cup
  • Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Strawberry Crush – 1/2 cup
  • Strawberry essence – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dry chopped strawberry – 1/4 cup
  • Pink food color – as required

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix milk, cornflour and make a lump-free mixture.
  2. Now add sugar and milk powder.
  3. Boil the mixture on slow to medium flame. Cool it.
  4. While it is cooling whip the cream until stiff and keep it aside.
  5. In the Cooled mixture add condensed milk, Whipped cream, and mix it well.
  6. Then, add strawberry crush, strawberry essence, chopped dry strawberries, and pink food color.
  7. Mix everything and set it in the freezer overnight.

Tip:

  • Use lid containers to set ice cream, or use cling wrap to cover it, so ice will not be formed.
  • For sweetness, we can add or reduce the castor sugar quantity.

Dos & don’t:

  • Don’t over whip the mixture after adding whipping cream.
  • Do set it overnight for better texture.
