Ingredients:
For cheeli

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped
  • Oil for frying

For curry

  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mint leaves

Method:

  • First, we make cheeli, for this, we have to prepare the batter.
  • Take a bowl to add gram flour, salt, carom seeds, red chilli powder, garam masala, green chilli and make a smooth batter with the help of water.
  • Heat a nonstick pan and brush it with oil.
  • Turn to heat to low and pour 1/2 teaspoon batter with the help of spoon on the pan.
  • Spread it evenly with the back of the spoon.
  • Like this pours more batter and make the small pancake.
  • Cover it and cook for 1 minutes and flip all and drizzle some oil around all the cheelis.
  • Cook on medium heat for another minute or till cheeli turns golden in colour on the other side.
  • Transfer it to a plate and repeat the same with the remaining batter.
  • Keep them aside to let them cool.
  • Now whisked curd and add 1/2 cup water.
  • Now for preparing heat ghee in a pan and add asafoetida and cumin seeds.
  • When seeds change color add turmeric powder and mix well.
  • Add 1/4 cup water and add red chili powder and coriander powder and whisked curd.
  • Stir continuously on high flame till the curd combine well else there is a chance for curd to curdle.
  • When curd starts boiling then add cheelis along with salt and mix well.
  • Now let the boil it for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Now add garam masala and dry mango powder and dry mint leaves and mix well.
  • Cheeli Ki sabzi is ready to serve and serve with roti or paratha.
