Maharashtra is famous because of this one dish called Poha. Poha is light and nutritious and generally eaten during breakfast. It would be a perfect choice for all health freaks.

Preparation Time- 5 minutes
Cooking Time – 10 minutes
Serving for 2
Ingredients:

  • 3 cup Poha
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 green chilly chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Bikaneri Bhujia
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon sugar

Method:

  • Wash the poha in a colander. Poha should be moist but not mashed.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and when they splutter add turmeric powder and saute for a minute.
  • Add poha and then salt and mix it lightly.
  • Add sugar and cover it for 2 minutes.
  • Then mix it.
  • Our poha is ready to serve.
  • While serving add lemon juice and bhujia, chopped green chili, and mix it nicely.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
