Serve it with a side of raita and a salad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.rasoitak.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20240120_134806.jpg?resize=750%2C422&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2533\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Kabuli Chana &#8211; 200 Gms (Soaked Overnight) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make fried onion <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oil <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Onion <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> To cook rice <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Basmati Rice &#8211; 1 Cup (250 Ml)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Water <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whole Spices (Cinnamon, Clove, Cardamom, Bay Leaf &amp; Star Anise) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salt &#8211; 1\/4 Tsp <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make chana masala<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Ghee &#8211; 2 Tsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Oil &#8211; 2 Tsp <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whole Spices (Cinnamon, Clove, Cardamom, &amp; Bay Leaf)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 Medium Size Boiled Potatoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Onion &#8211; 1 No. Thinly Sliced <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green Chili &#8211; 2 Nos Chopped <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tomato &#8211; 2 Nos Finely Chopped <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turmeric Powder &#8211; 1\/4 Tsp <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kashmiri Chili Powder &#8211; 2 Tsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Cumin Powder &#8211; 1 Tsp <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Garam Masala &#8211; 1 Tsp <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt &#8211; 1 Tsp <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whisked Curd &#8211; 1\/2 Cup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Mint Leaves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Coriander Leaves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p> To layer the biryani<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Chana Curry <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cooked Basmati Rice <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fried Onions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Cooked Basmati Rice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Ghee &#8211; 2 Tsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Fried Onions <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mint Leaves <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Kabuli Chana Biryani - One Pot Easy Dinner Recipes - Veg Hyderabadi Chana biryani\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/i_9INn9gf94?start=14&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Heat a pot with some water, add the whole spices and bring the water to a boil<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 3. Add the soaked rice to the water, add salt and give it a stir <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Cook the rice till it&#8217;s 3\/4th done, strain it and keep it aside <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Wash and soak the chickpeas overnight <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Pressure cook the chickpeas, strain them and keep them aside <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Heat some oil for shallow frying<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 8. Fry the onions till they are brown and crispy. Keep them aside<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 9. Heat a pan with some oil, add red chili powder, salt and mix well <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10. Add the boiled and peeled potatoes and fry them<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 11. Roast the potatoes till they are golden brown and keep them aside<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 12. Heat a kadai with some ghee and oil <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13. Roast the whole spices<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 14. Add onions and green chili and fry them till they are golden brown in color<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 15. Add ginger garlic paste and saute<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 16. Add tomatoes and cook them<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 17. After 2 mins, add red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala and saute well <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18. Add curd and saute the masala till oil separates <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>19. Add the cooked chickpeas, and let the chickpeas cook in the masala for 5 mins <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>20. Cook the chickpeas well along with the masala <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>21. Add mint leaves and coriander leaves and mix well <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>22. Keep the masala aside <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>23. To layer the biryani, start with the chana masala at the bottom, layer some rice on top of it <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>24. Layer the rice with the roasted potatoes and fried onions <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>25. Layer the potatoes with the remaining rice, add some ghee on top of it and add fried onions and mint leaves <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>26. Leave it in dum for 15 mins <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>27.
